Mike Potsou has lead the Whitfield Warriors Basketball team to two consecutive state Final Four appearances.  His teams finshed 2nd place in 2009, the year in which he was also awarded the class 3 AP Coach of the Year, and the 2010 team finished 3rd place with a 22-10  record.  Coach Potsou has coached at the high school varsity level for the past 11 seasons, was a student assistant for Mizzou under Norm Stewart, and was given his first coaching job by former SLU Head Coach, Rich Grawer.  Coach Potsou's high school teams have been ranked in the top fifteen the last five seasons. Mike currently is the head basketball coach at Whitfield School.

Former players who benefited from Coach Potsou's instruction include Mike Baker (Franklyn and Marshal), Philip Hunt (SLU), Brian Westre (Missouri S & T), Tim Clark (Trinity), Xavier Price (Western Illinios), Kalen Grimes (Mizzou), Julian Johnson (3 time All-State selection, Missouri S & T), Maurice Burns (Benedictine College), Alex Rudd (Redlands University), Michael Gallagher (Rhodes College), and Shaun Livingston (LA Clippers).

Brad Kern will be entering his 8th season as the head basketball coach at Brentwood High School and overall has 15 years expierence coaching high school basketball. He continues to develop his Eagles squads into one of the most competitive and respected small school programs in St. Louis. Brentwood has had more wins in the last four seasons combined than any other stretch in the last 20 years.

Keen began his coaching career as a camp instructor at Missouri State University (1997-1999) under former head coaches Steve Alford, now at New Mexico and Barry Hinson, now at Southern Illinois. Kern then went to Springfield-Kickapoo as an assistant coach (1999-2001). In 2001, Kern joined the staff at Jennings High School in north St. Louis. He remained in Jennings as the junior varsity coach and varsity assistant until 2005, before being named the Head Coach at Brentwood.

Kern has coached "Mr. Show-Me Basketball" Player of the Year Spencer Laurie and current NBA player Anthony Tolliver of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Kern has also coached 5 professional Foreign Basketball players and over 15 players who played at the collegiate level.
